The Deccan Herald is one of the renowned newspapers of India ruling the
market in the state of Karnataka. In fact, The Deccan Herald is the largest
English language daily newspaper in the state. Also called the 'DH', its
first edition hit the streets on June 16, 1948. Published by the Printers (
Mysore) Private Limited, it offers a number of editions from Bangalore,
Hubli, Mysore, Mangalore and Gulbarga.
With its head office on MG Road, Bangalore, the newspaper from the past 54
years has been working non stop providing authentic news coverages to the

History of The Deccan Herald
The Deccan Herald was started in 1948 by K.N.Guruswamy, just one year after
India's independence. K.N. Guruswamy was a man of great vision and he
started the newspaper keeping in mind various apsects of society and nation
as well. The focus still remains the same.

:Started on November 28, 2002 in Bangalore, the eight page tabloid
supplement covers the latest happenings in and around Bangalore. Metrolife
contains interesting articles and features on civic issues in the city,

& Business (Monday) : A weekly supplement, Economy and Business is
